According to a new study out in Norway, you only need twelve minutes of exercise a week to get and stay healthy.

The study had people work out intensely for four minutes, such as sprinting on a treadmill or anything else vigorously. When people did this three times a week the study showed it significantly helped out their overall health.

The study did not compare their style of working out directly with people who exercised for longer, but they suggested that just twelve minutes of intense exercise might be as good.

The researchers say that "This data suggests it may be possible to reduce cardiovascular mortality with substantially less exercise than is generally recommended, provided it is performed in a vigorous manner."
