An Arizona man was arrested Monday for allegedly stealing his ex-girlfriend's iPad.

The man was asked to leave the his ex-girlfriend's residence in Chandler and her roommates told police they saw him leaving with an iPad-sized bundle of clothes.

Later it was reported that he texted his ex and told her "thanks for the iPad."

Local media reports that police contacted the man about the missing iPad and he insisted that he was going to give it back, which he didn't have to do once he was charged with theft.

The iPad was returned to it's rightful owner, but not by the theft suspect.
