Swedish metallers Evergrey are back and ready to take your ears and eyes on a musical journey with their new video for 'King of Errors.' The band shot the clip with acclaimed director Patric Ullaeus (In Flames, Arch Enemy, Within Temptation) and Loudwire is proud to bring you the exclusive North American premiere.

The video opens with shots of forested terrain and raging waters as hooded figures carrying flags battle the bristly elements to forge ahead in their journey. Meanwhile a whispery narrator speaks of life under a "king with no soul" and those who walk alone when all the doors are closed. It's a breathtaking video with the band performing upon a scenic platform high above the ground below. Check out the clip above.

Singer/guitarist Tom S. Englund tells Loudwire about the clip, "Patric is amazing at picking up our ideas and creating something that even exceeds our expectations. He once again did a fantastic job. It was by far the most extensive shooting we ever had with a total of ten days for the 'King of Errors' video. Patric managed to capture the atmosphere of the new album perfectly here.

He adds, "'King Of Errors” is not only the first song on the new album 'Hymns for the Broken,' it’s also the first single. At a first glance, it might seem like we tell the story of the now occurring battlefields of the world with 'Hymns for the Broken.' It also has a strong resemblance to tales like the one of David and Goliath, but is not a political statement. It has never been about politics outside moral principles. It is not a propaganda towards or pro anything or anyone. It is like every Evergrey album -- a story that here and now, perhaps in the most naked way ever before, portrays an inner revolution and the human struggle that has been so evidently present throughout the years and our discography.”

The clip is also special because it marks the return of two of the band's longtime members -- guitarist Henrik Danhage and drummer Jonas Ekdahl. Both members left in 2010, but have rejoined the band for the new album and video.

As mentioned, 'King of Errors' is featured on the upcoming Evergrey disc 'Hymns for the Broken.' If you like what you hear, the disc will be released in the U.S. on Sept. 29 and in Europe on Sept. 26. The album is available for pre-order at this location.
