Permian Basin Health and Safety Conference – Presented by Texas JRAC and the Texas EMS Trauma & Acute Care Foundation
The oil boom in RAC J has created a number of potentially dangerous situations – from increased motor vehicle accidents to explosions at well sites which can cause combustible material as well as chemical burns. By studying the explosion of the fertilizer plant in West in 2013, RAC J trauma providers and oilfield safety personnel can learn valuable lessons and be better prepared for potential disasters in the West Texas oilfields.
This conference will be of interest and benefit to physicians, nurses and EMS personnel who respond to and treat trauma patients, particularly those injured in oilfield-related accidents. Oilfield safety personnel also are invited to attend, learn and network with JRAC emergency providers.
6.00 contact hours of continuing nursing education will be awarded. Texas EMS, Trauma & Acute Care Foundation is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. TETAF has applied for continuing medical education and continuing EMS education.
