The homeowner of the house in Portland, Oregon had just went through shoulder surgery is lucky to be alive after a suspected drunk driver plows into his home.

The man told a local newspaper that it looked like "a bomb went off" after the SUV plowed into the house destroying two bedrooms, the living room, the dining room, and destroyed all the furniture in the home.

The homeowner would have been killed if the accident had happened a few minutes later than it did, but he only had minor injuries and re-injured his shoulder.  He was amazed to see the driver, bleeding from the accident, trying to flee the scene.

He asked the driver "What in the world were you doing?" according to the newspaper, and the driver replied "Obviously, I just drove through your house."  The 28 year old driver was found later by police and arrested on multiple charges, including DUI, reckless driving, and hit-and-run.
