Detroit Store Pays Employees in Crack

Detroit's troubles are well-documented, but Michigan's biggest city is now making headlines for all the wrong reasons once again.

WDIV-TV reports federal officers were investigating the owners of the Big C Tire Shop for allegedly counterfeiting 100 thousand dollars in post office paychecks and also learned of their drugs-as-salary scheme and quickly shut it down.

Nearby residents are relieved that there are no longer crack addicts working in their neighborhood but WDIV reports that agents were not pursuing the drug charges cause the check fraud case was stronger against the tire shop's owners.
