It looks like that Kurt Cobain biopic produced by the Nirvana frontman's widow, Courtney Love, may begin production very soon. Love claims that not only will she be involved, but she's very open to Cobain's Nirvana bandmates and daughter Frances Bean Cobain also being involved.

Love's idea for a Kurt Cobain biopic has been bounced around the media for the better part of a decade, but in a new interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the Hole frontwoman says she is hoping to begin "within the next year or so."

Who will play Kurt Cobain in the film? “CAA (Creative Artists Agency) directly sent me actors’ (demo) reels,” Love explains. “That was really tough because these boys are so pretty, so cute. I won’t name names because I don’t want to jinx it for anyone but these are 25-year-olds who are blond, gorgeous and the new Brad Pitts. There’s a ton of those. Some are really good actors, not just pretty faces."

“I don’t want to be the person who makes that decision,” Love adds. “Let’s leave that to the agents; I have great agents now. But I will have a say in it."

Though Courtney Love has complicated relationships with the surviving members of Nirvana and Frances Bean Cobain, she isn't trying to keep them all out of the process. “I do have a say in it. So do Frances, and Krist (Novoselic) and Dave (Grohl), for that matter, if it touches on Nirvana -- and it will. I am leading the charge because it’s time to do this.”

In the past, Love has even spoken about the possibility of a Kurt Cobain musical. “After being swarmed by tons of Nirvana fan mail and social media posts pushing for a musical to become a reality," Love tells NME, "both Frances and I have thought long and hard and agreed that if we can reach up to the highest shelf and select a team of the greatest and most respected writers, producers and directors, then a Broadway musical is very likely to happen.”
