Colin Kaepernick threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns in his first NFL start, and the San Francisco 49ers beat the Chicago Bears, 32-7, in San Francisco on Monday night.

Starting for an injured Alex Smith, Kaepernick completed 12 of 15 first-half pass attempts — including a 3-yard touchdown to Vernon Davis — as San Francisco (7-2-1) built a 20-0 halftime lead on the vaunted Bears' defense. Kaepernick tossed a 10-yard scoring pass to Michael Crabtree on the 49ers' first drive of the second half to make it 27-0 San Francisco.

Jason Campbell, who started for injured Bears' quarterback Jay Cutler, tossed a 13-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Marshall in the third quarter for Chicago (7-3). Campbell threw two interceptions and was sacked six times, including five-and-a-half by 49ers' linebacker Aldon Smith. The Bears managed just 143 total yards on offense.
