Clutch have announced tour dates that will take the Maryland band out on the road in late December and early January. The outing, which will also feature sets from Torche and Lionize, launches in Cincinnati, Ohio on Dec. 27 and wraps in Austin, Texas on Jan. 10. Tickets for select dates go on sale Friday (Sept. 29) here.

Clutch is out supporting their latest album, ‘Earth Rocker,’ which was re-released as a three-disc CD/DVD set over the summer. The collection features bonus tracks and a complete live concert recorded in Denver, Colo. You can order that set here.

The band also announced their plans to record their next album. Clutch will head into the studio next month for pre-production session with producer Machine (Lamb of God and Crobot). Frontman Neil Fallon recently talked about the musical direction of the album saying, “The best thing is just following your gut. I think if we tried to make ‘Earth Rocker 2,’ it would be D.O.A. But then again, you don't wanna completely abandon it.” He added,  “We started writing for the next album pretty quickly. So it does bear a lot of similarities to 'Earth Rocker,' just because we're coming off the heels of that album. If we’d waited five years, I'm sure it would be a different story."

Before Clutch heads into pre-production for their new effort they will wrap their current tour on Saturday (Sept. 27) in Baltimore, Md. at The Shindig Music Festival, which also features Jane’s Addiction, Rise Against and Halestorm.
