The CDC is urging people to prepare for anything potentially nasty flu season even though we're just out of summer.  According to the CDC last flu season there were epidemic levels of influenza and pneumonia for 16 consecutive weeks.  They estimated more than 700,000 people were hospitalized during the 2017-2018 flu season and say some 180 children died from the most recent bout of flu. It is recommended that getting vaccinated early, at least by the end of October before the flu starts spreading, is the best way to combat the situation.
