A home invader was shot and captured after he and two accomplices assaulted a young man and threw him into a closet they didn’t know was a gun safe.

KTRK-TV reports that the victim came out of the gun safe armed and checked to see if the robbers were still in his parent’s residence.

One of the robbers shot at him and he fired back hitting one suspect in the leg and neck.

The other two suspects sped away in a dark colored SUV, but the injured robber collapsed down the block.

The robber was captured and taken to the hospital where he was arrested, the young man is not likely to face any charges for protecting his and his parent’s home.
