Burger Causes Train Wreck

A man in Salem, Oregon saw his van demolished by a train and he is blaming a hamburger for distracting him and causing the accident.  

The man was speeding and enjoying his burger a little too much when he drove his van into a set of wires meant to keep drivers away from a train crossing.

The vehicle's airbags deployed, and the van became tangled and trapped in the path of an oncoming train.

He was able to get out of the van before the train struck it, severely damaging it.  No one on the Amtrak train was injured but the train suffered some damage as did a power line nearby.

The man was cited for reckless driving.
