Boss’ Surprise Party Exposes Embezzlement

An office manager's party for her boss turns up paper trail of over 180 thousand dollars stolen by her from her company.  

The 47-year-old office manager didn't have permission to throw the party, so when the realty company's books were investigated, a discrepancy of $181,674 was found.

The investigation revealed that the office manager, who had been with the company for over 10 years, had allegedly taken 92 thousand dollars to pay off her credit card bills, then paid herself an extra 65 thousand in extra paychecks, plus not deducting insurance costs from her salary.

She was arrested and charged with two felonies, scheme to defraud and grand theft.
