Driving has gotten pretty wild here in west Texas, but where does Texas place in the best and worst state drivers?

USA Today published the best and worst drivers in every state.  Rankings are based on five categories: Deaths per 100 million miles driven, citations for failure to obey lights and seat belt laws, DUI's, speeding tickets, and careless driving tickets.

First lets give you the Top 10 WORST:

  1. Louisiana
  2. South Carolina
  3. Mississippi
  4. Texas
  5. Alabama
  6. Florida
  7. Missouri
  8. North Carolina
  9. Montana
  10. North Dakota

Now here are the Top 10 BEST:

  1. Vermont
  2. Utah
  3. New Hampshire
  4. Minnesota
  5. Oregon
  6. Maine
  7. Connecticut
  8. Washington D.C.
  9. Iowa
  10. Massachusetts
