“Beam of Light” Scorches Ground and Shocks Residents

Citizens in Tasmania, Australia were baffled by a beam of light that sot from the sky and caused a brush fire this past weekend.  

Conspiracy theorists in the area had all sorts of explanations for the odd light beam coming from space.  Some said it was a laser weapon while others claimed it might have been an alien magnifying glass targeting earth.

According to the Australian Broadcast Company the blaze was quickly put out by the Hobart Fire Department.

But despite all the out of this world claims of some and the lack of physical cause on the ground, the fire department considered the odd matter a closed case.
