British news outlet the Guardian spent some time overlaying the covers of some classic album covers on top of Google Street View shots of the locations featured on those covers. And the results are both nostalgic and charming.

Some of the covers work better than others, but we're guessing they get the location treatment simply because their cover images show a location that could be found somewhat easily on Google Street View.

Classic covers like Bob Dylan's 'The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan' and Beastie Boys' 'Paul's Boutique' show how much (or how little) has changed since the albums came out.

And of course 'Abbey Road' is obligatory.
