Last night, the news broke that AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been charged with attempting to hire a hitman to kill two people along with possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. Details continue to emerge from this shocking story, the latest coming from the man Rudd allegedly asked to carry out the murders.

Rudd is facing up to 10 years in prison for attempting to procure the murders. The drummer is out on bail after appearing in court earlier today (Nov. 6) and will return on Nov. 27 for further proceedings.

As for the alleged intended hitman, he's reportedly a friend of Rudd who met the drummer when he ran a parlor in Tauranga. Despite Rudd's alleged actions, the intended hitman, who remains anonymous, says the AC/DC drummer is "a good fella." Rudd would often let the man drive his cars, including the latest Ferrari and Lamborghini models. The two also went out for trips in Rudd's helicopter and would go out fishing together.

"He's burning the ones who care about him," the anonymous man said, according to the Bay of Plenty Times [via the Herald Sun]. "The joys of being a rock star, always in the spotlight. You've got to feel sorry for him -- just the expectations everyone has of him. He's a good fella. He's got a big heart." However, when asked about the murder plot allegations, the intended hitman replied, "I don't know what you're talking about."

The two would-be victims of Rudd's alleged plot have yet to publicly comment on the situation. Stay tuned for more on this shocking story as details emerge.
