Last week a man that had carried the torch for the Olympic Games last year, was convicted of multiple counts of indecent assault and gross indecency, and here is how it came about.

The Daily Mail reports that before the Summer Olympics last year in London, the traditional run of the Olympic Torch was going on with many locals getting a chance to run with the famous torch.

Graham Cooper, a 69-year-old man from Kent, England, was nominated by his wife to carry the torch because of all the charity work he had done.

So last year in July, Cooper ran the relay and even got on national TV which is when his story went all wrong.

A woman who was watching the coverage recognized Cooper as the pedophile who had abused her 30 years ago when she was 14.  She had tried to have him arrested before but police did not believe her then, but did this time.

When Cooper was brought in for questioning, he admitted to the abuse and last Friday a jury convicted him of all the counts.  Its not clear how much jail time he will get, but his sentencing will be later this month.
