Rock hitmakers 3 Doors Down revealed last month that they were going into the studio to record a new album with producer Matt Wallace (Faith No More, Mushroomhead). Now, guitarist Chris Henderson has given more details about the record.

In an interview with Lubbock, Texas radio station KFMX that you can watch above, Henderson says, "I'm actually on my way to the studio right now to finish guitars for a new record. The music's almost done. Probably in the next five days the record will be finished 100 percent and sent off to mix. You're going to get some new music."

Henderson continues, "It's going to be called Us and the Night, so there is an album title. I think the tentative release date will be September/October/November, somewhere in that area. We want to make sure it's right before we put it out."

Henderson also talked about the staying power of rock: “I was listening to Papa Roach with my 13-year-old and 10-year-old. They are huge Papa Roach fans and we are listening to the first and second Papa Roach records together ... Rock and roll stays around and it's not the flavor of the week like pop is. It's really great, and I'm really excited to be listening to rock and roll with my children."

The follow-up to 2011's Time of My Life will be the first 3 Doors Down album for guitarist Chet Roberts and bassist Justin Biltonen. The band is getting ready to hit the road with Seether on a tour that begins July 7 in Laredo, Texas.
